## In depth

### Where AIVA shines — and where it doesn't
AIVA is a composition assistant: it lets you pick from hundreds of styles, upload an influence track or MIDI and edit the result, and it exports MIDI — useful if you want to rework a piece in a DAW [1]. It deliberately doesn't do vocals [2]. If your project needs a sung theme, lyrics or a full song, you need a different engine.

### Choosing between them
A quick guide:
- Need MIDI to edit in a DAW — AIVA exports MIDI.
- Need vocals, lyrics or a full song — Kenerate.
- Need an exact-length cue — ElevenLabs Music in Kenerate.
- Want to try several engines on one prompt — Kenerate.
