# Kenerate Skills (for Codex and other AGENTS.md agents)

This folder holds creative-production skills for the Kenerate MCP server (`https://mcp.kenerateai.com/mcp`). Each
skill is a folder with a `SKILL.md` (instructions), `scripts/` (local Python + ffmpeg tools) and
`references/KENERATE.md` (shared rules) + `references/MODELS.md` (model routing, audio policy, voices).

## How to use them
1. When a request matches a skill below, open that skill's `SKILL.md` and follow it step by step.
2. Media is made with the Kenerate MCP tools. Before every video / per-second / batch call, run
   `estimate_cost(tool, arguments)` and get the user's yes for anything over ~100 credits. Failed jobs are refunded
   automatically; a retry is a new charge, so ask first.
3. After every spend tool, call `wait_for_generation(kind, id)` (repeat while running) and use `urls[0]`.
4. Local steps run `python <skill-dir>/scripts/<script>.py …` (Python 3.9+, Pillow, ffmpeg; check with
   `python <skill-dir>/scripts/kmedia.py doctor`). Relay the `[n/N]` status lines and parse the final `RESULT_JSON:` line.
5. Never add a voice-over or music on your own: ask (voice-over? music? the video model's native audio? silent?).
   Voice-over = `generate_speech` with engine `elevenlabs-eleven-v3` and a named voice (`pick_voice` or
   `references/MODELS.md`); music = `generate_music` with `elevenlabs-music-v2.5`. Pick models with `pick_model` or MODELS.md.
6. Show the scripts' previews (contact sheets, `--preview-only`, `--showcase`, `--dry-run`) before final exports.
7. Fonts: `--font-family "<free font>"` downloads an OFL / Apache font into ./fonts; say which font and licence you used.
8. Report every Kenerate url, every local output path and the credits spent.

natively), or keep this AGENTS.md at your repo root (or `~/.codex/AGENTS.md`) next to the unzipped skill folders and
point it at their path.
