## In depth

### Chat-first vs picture-first
SpicyChat is a chat platform: characters, lorebooks, group chats and memory tools, with images as an add-on on its top two tiers. Kenerate starts from the picture: you design a character with the model you choose, keep its face with reference images and animate it with Spicy image-to-video.
Kenerate has no character chat at all, so it doesn't replace SpicyChat's conversations. If you want both, keep chatting on SpicyChat and make the pictures and clips on Kenerate.

### The rules both share
SpicyChat's community guidelines say users must be 18+ and every character must be an adult. Kenerate is for adults 18+ too, blocks prompts involving minors on every model and doesn't allow sexual content of real people.

## FAQ
Q: What is the best SpicyChat alternative?
A: Kenerate AI, if you want to make images and video of your characters. It runs 80+ image models and 14 Spicy image-to-video models for adults 18+. It does not offer character chat, so it's an alternative for the pictures, not the conversations. Free starter credits cover images; video needs a paid plan or a one-time credit pack, and pack credits never expire. For chat and lore-heavy roleplay, SpicyChat is the stronger pick.

Q: Is Kenerate a Spicy Chat AI alternative for roleplay?
A: No. Kenerate does not offer character chat or roleplay. It is a Spicy Chat AI alternative for the visual side: designing characters, adult images for adults 18+ and Spicy image-to-video.

Q: How much does SpicyChat cost?
A: SpicyChat's docs say its prices changed on 8 September 2026: Get A Taste is $5.95, True Supporter $19.95 and I'm All In $29.95 a month, next to a free tier, and each tier kept the same features. Kenerate starts with free starter credits, then one-time credit packs that never expire.

Q: Does SpicyChat make images or videos?
A: Images, yes; video isn't mentioned in its docs. Conversation images use the DreamShaper-8 model: True Supporter gets them for select characters and I'm All In for any character. On Kenerate you choose from 80+ image models and turn a picture into a clip with 14 Spicy image-to-video models, up to 30 seconds.

Q: Can I bring my SpicyChat character to Kenerate?
A: Its look, yes; its chat, no. Describe the character in the image studio, or add a picture you made as a reference image, and Kenerate makes new images and Spicy clips of it. There is no character chat to bring the personality or greetings into. Bring only characters you made, and keep them fictional adults.

Q: Can my character talk on Kenerate?
A: As a talking clip, yes: Avatar Talk lip-syncs a portrait to a voice track you make or upload. It's a video, not a conversation. SpicyChat's voice is text-to-speech playback in chat on its I'm All In tier.

Q: What does Kenerate block?
A: Anything involving minors, on every model, and sexual content of real people. Beyond those rules, adult content is for adults 18+: adult images on open models such as Chroma, and Spicy video, which is image-to-video only. Adult results are blurred in your own grid, and the Private switch keeps images out of the public feed.
