# Udio vs Suno

> Udio vs Suno in 2026 comes down to downloads. Suno still lets paid users download — 20 songs a month on Pro ($10/month) and 60 on Premier ($30/month), with no monthly downloads on its free plan (suno.com/pricing, September 2026). Udio switched off downloads on 30 October 2025 and is moving to a licensed platform where songs stay inside Udio. If you want downloads on every song and a choice of engines, Kenerate's Music Studio runs Ken Music, ElevenLabs Music, Mureka and MiniMax Music with 25 free credits.

## In depth

### How the label deals changed both tools
In late 2025 both services settled with major labels. Udio switched off downloads on 30 October 2025 and is moving to a licensed platform where creations stay inside the service [1]. Suno signed with Warner Music Group and later BMG, and moved downloads to paid plans with monthly caps [2][3].

### What this means in practice
For someone making songs today:
- Hobby listening — either service can work inside its own app.
- Using songs in videos or releases — you need downloads: Suno's paid plans, or another tool.
- Variety of sound — a multi-engine studio lets you try the same prompt on several models.
