What 18+ AI can and can't do
18+ AI tools are ordinary image models with the refusals removed. They can draw adult characters, glamour and fantasy art in any style, but they are still limited by what each model learned: an anime model draws anime well and photos badly, and the other way round.
On Kenerate the only rule the site adds is a block on prompts involving minors. Closed models from OpenAI, Google and ByteDance add their own filters on top, which is why an 18+ prompt can work on Chroma and fail on Seedream.
Picking a model for 18+ AI images
Match the model to the style, not the other way round:
- Photoreal and general art: Chroma — an 8.9-billion-parameter open model its authors call fully uncensored [1]. Up to 1536 px.
- Anime and cartoon: Pony XL, from a model family trained with safe, questionable and explicit rating tags [2].
- Clean anime illustration: Neta Lumina.
- Drafts on the free plan: Flux 2 Dev, up to 2048 px.
- Polished SFW finishes: Seedream 5.0 Pro, up to 2K.
Prompts that work
Write the picture, not the category. “A woman in an emerald silk slip dress on a velvet sofa, warm lamp light, 85 mm” gets a better result than “18+ photo”. Name the medium (photo, oil painting, anime, 3D render), the light, and the lens or art style. For Pony XL, start with “score_9, score_8_up” and a rating tag.
Private by default, if you want it
Switch on Private in Advanced settings and the image stays out of the public feed. Adult-flagged results appear blurred in your own gallery grid, and generations are kept for 7 days unless you save them.
