The fastest way to make Black Friday ads with AI is to start from one clean photo of the product, turn it into a set of sale images (feed, story and banner sizes), then animate the best still into a 5-second video ad. Below are 18 copy-paste prompts for product hero shots, sale banners, UGC-style clips and countdown stories, the sizes each platform wants, and what each step costs in credits, as of 22 October 2026.
Black Friday 2026 falls on Friday 27 November and Cyber Monday on Monday 30 November. If you want ads tested and approved before the rush, the creative work belongs in late October and early November, which is why this guide exists now.
Why make Black Friday ads with AI at all?
Because the season rewards volume and speed. You need the same offer in four or five sizes, a fresh variant for every week of the run-up, a separate angle for Cyber Monday and something new for retargeting. Shooting all of that is slow; generating it from one product photo takes an afternoon.
The shopping itself has moved to phones and to AI answers. Adobe Analytics reported a record $11.8 billion in US online spending on Black Friday 2025, up from $10.8 billion the year before, with traffic to retail sites from generative AI sources up 805% year over year for 1–28 November (Nasdaq / RTTNews on Adobe). Vertical, thumb-stopping creative matters more than ever, and AI tools are the cheapest way to make a lot of it.
What AI does not do is decide your offer. A weak discount with a beautiful render is still a weak ad. Settle the deal (percentage, bundle, free gift, free shipping), the dates and the call to action first, then use the prompts below.
What sizes do Black Friday ads need?
Make every concept in four shapes and you cover nearly every placement. These are the common sizes vendor guides list for 2026 (Rocketium's Meta creative specs); check your ad manager before export, since Meta also accepts higher-resolution uploads.
| Placement | Ratio | Pixels | What to put in it |
|---|---|---|---|
| Instagram / Facebook feed | 4:5 | 1080 × 1350 | Product hero + one-line offer |
| Stories, Reels, TikTok, Shorts | 9:16 | 1080 × 1920 | Video ad or countdown story; keep text in the middle |
| Carousel cards, Marketplace | 1:1 | 1080 × 1080 | Bundle cards, one product per card |
| YouTube, in-stream, site hero | 16:9 | 1920 × 1080 | Wide banner or 5–10 s spot |
| Landscape link ads, display | 1.91:1 | 1200 × 628 | Banner with headline and button |
In 9:16, the top and bottom of the frame are covered by the profile name, caption and button, so keep the product and the offer in the centre band.
How do you go from one product photo to a full ad set?
This is the workflow we use in Kenerate's Marketing Studio, and it works in any image + video tool that accepts reference images.
- Get one clean product photo. Phone photo on a plain table in daylight is fine. If you only have a busy photo, run it through an AI product photo generator first to get a clean studio or lifestyle shot.
- Make the hero still. Use a hero-shot prompt below with the photo as the reference. Ask the model to keep the product exactly as it is: same shape, label and colours.
- Add the offer. Either generate the text in the image with a model that renders type well, or keep the still clean and add the price in your ad manager or design tool. For banners with a headline and button, the AI banner generator is built for exactly this.
- Resize per placement. Re-run the same prompt in 4:5, 9:16 and 1:1 rather than cropping one image; the model recomposes for each shape.
- Animate the best still. Use it as the start frame of a 5-second image-to-video clip. Image-to-video keeps the product exact because the model starts from your frame. The AI product video generator does this from one photo.
- Review every frame. Check the label, logo and any small text before the ad runs.
Which prompts work for Black Friday product hero shots?
Use these with your product photo as the reference image. Replace the parts in [brackets].
1. Black-on-black premium hero
The exact product from Image 1, centred on a matte black plinth against a deep black background, one hard rim light from behind tracing its edges, a soft gold reflection on the plinth, faint dust in the light beam, premium and quiet, product label sharp and unchanged, 4:5.
2. Gift-ready hero
The exact product from Image 1 sitting in an open black gift box with tissue paper in [brand colour], a satin ribbon loose beside it, warm tungsten light from the left, shallow depth of field, cosy holiday evening mood, no text, 4:5.
3. Price-tag still life
The exact product from Image 1 on a light oak table, a blank kraft paper price tag tied to it with string, a small sprig of pine and two ornaments out of focus behind, morning window light, editorial still life, 1:1.
4. Color-pop sale shot
The exact product from Image 1 floating at a slight angle over a saturated [brand colour] background with a hard drop shadow, bold flat colour blocks, high-contrast sunlight look, energetic and graphic, 4:5.
5. Bundle flat lay
A top-down flat lay of the exact products from Images 1, 2 and 3 arranged in a neat triangle on a charcoal linen surface, a ribbon running between them, even soft light, catalogue-clean, room at the top for a headline, 1:1.
Which prompts work for Black Friday sale banners?
These need readable text, so use a model that is good at type (in Kenerate, GPT Image 2 or GPT Image 2.5 Sunburst). Keep the words short; one headline and one button is enough.
6. Classic sale banner
A wide web banner, black background, the exact product from Image 1 on the right third with a soft spotlight, on the left the headline "BLACK FRIDAY" in bold condensed white sans-serif, below it "[30% OFF EVERYTHING]" in [brand colour], and a rounded white button reading "SHOP NOW", clean layout, 16:9.
7. Story countdown card
A vertical story card, deep black to dark purple gradient, the exact product from Image 1 in the centre, above it large white text "3 DAYS LEFT", below it smaller text "Black Friday · ends 30 Nov", plenty of empty space at the top and bottom, 9:16.
8. Cyber Monday variant
A vertical ad, dark navy background with a subtle glowing grid, the exact product from Image 1 lit with cool blue and magenta edge light, headline "CYBER MONDAY" in bold white type, below it "[Free shipping + gift]", tech-minimal style, 9:16.
9. Early-access banner
A 4:5 social ad, warm cream background, the exact product from Image 1 on the right, on the left the words "Early access" in an elegant serif and "Members shop Black Friday first" below in small sans-serif, calm luxury look, no other text.
10. Carousel set (run three times)
Card [1 of 3] of a carousel in one consistent style: black background, gold accent line, the exact product from Image 1. Card 1 headline "The deal", card 2 "Why people love it" with the product in use, card 3 "Ends Monday" with a button "SHOP NOW", 1:1.
Generate the three cards with the same seed or the same reference so the style matches. The Marketing Studio's Carousel set style makes 3–5 matching cards in one go.
Which prompts work for Black Friday video ads?
Start each from the best still you made above (image-to-video), 5 seconds, 9:16 for Reels and TikTok. Write the motion, not the whole scene; the frame already holds the scene.
11. Light-sweep reveal
Start in near darkness; a single slow light sweep moves left to right across the product, revealing its edges and label, a tiny push-in, faint dust in the beam, ends on a still, fully lit hero frame. Low cinematic hum.
12. Gift-box unboxing (hands only)
POV hands untie the ribbon and lift the lid of the black gift box, tissue paper parts with a crisp rustle, the hands lift the product into warm light and turn it once to the camera. Only real paper and cardboard sounds.
13. Hypermotion drop
The product drops into frame and lands with a snap, a fast whip pan to a close-up of the label, a speed ramp into a slow turn, ending centred on a bold [brand colour] background. Punchy whoosh and impact sounds.
14. UGC-style "I waited for this"
A woman in her late twenties sits on a sofa in a lived-in living room, holding the product at chest height, talking to the phone camera: "Okay, I waited all year for this to go on sale, and it finally did." She turns it to show the label and smiles. Handheld phone look, natural room sound.
UGC clips work because they look like a customer post. Keep them honest: a creator-style clip is fine; a made-up customer review or star rating is not (more on that below). The UGC ads styles cover shopping, delivery, unboxing and try-on scenes.
15. Doorstep delivery
A parcel lands on a doorstep with a soft thud, hands open it in the hallway and pull out the product, a quick happy reaction off-camera, cut to the product on a side table in evening light. Natural sounds, no music.
16. Countdown story clip
A slow rotation of the product on a black turntable, a ticking clock sound, the light shifts from cool to warm as the turntable completes one turn, ends still. Leave the top and bottom third clear for text.
17. Stocking-stuffer scene
The camera glides past a mantelpiece with stockings; the product is peeking out of one stocking, lit by fairy lights that twinkle softly, a slow push-in to the product. Gentle crackling fire sound.
18. Before / after
First half: a cluttered [problem scene, e.g. a messy desk], cool flat light. A quick wipe transition. Second half: the same space tidy with the product in use, warm light, calm. Natural room sound.
Add the offer text in your editor or ad manager afterwards. Video models can render on-screen text, but small type often warps; a clean clip plus a native text overlay is safer.
How much does it cost to make a Black Friday ad set with AI?
Prices below are Kenerate Image Studio and Video Studio rates from our model config as of 22 October 2026, per image at 1K and per second of video.
| Model | Best for | Cost |
|---|---|---|
| Seedream 5.0 Pro | Hero shots, flat lays, lifestyle stills | 13.5 credits per image (1K) |
| GPT Image 2.5 Sunburst | Banners and cards with text | 7.2 credits per image (medium, 1K) |
| GPT Image 2 | Maximum realism, text in picture | 18 credits per image (medium, 1K) |
| Wan 3.0 | Cheap drafts, vertical social clips | 15 credits/s at 480p, 30 at 720p, 60 at 1080p |
| Seedance 2.0 | Polished image-to-video ads with sound | 36 credits/s at 480p, 72 at 720p |
So a typical set of four stills (one hero in three sizes plus a banner) on Seedream 5.0 Pro and Sunburst comes to roughly 50 credits, and one 5-second 720p video adds 150 credits on Wan 3.0 or 360 on Seedance 2.0. Draft at 480p, keep the winner, then re-render it at 720p. Making ads in the Marketing Studio needs a paid plan or a one-time credit pack; there is no subscription requirement.
What should you avoid in AI Black Friday ads?
Fake reviews and ratings. The US Federal Trade Commission's rule on reviews and testimonials, in force since 21 October 2024, explicitly covers fake reviews attributed to people who don't exist, including AI-generated ones (FTC press release). Never put a generated "★★★★★ 'Best purchase ever!' — Sarah" on an ad. Use real customer quotes with permission, or none.
Made-up "was" prices. Only show a strikethrough price you actually charged. Generate the visual, but type the real numbers yourself.
A product that drifts. Models sometimes change a label, a colour or the shape of a cap. Always run with the product photo as the reference, say "the exact product" in the prompt, and compare the output to the real thing before it ships.
Tiny text. Long legal lines and fine print render badly. Keep them out of the image and put them in the ad copy.
One creative for the whole run. Yotpo's 2026 guide recommends starting teasers in early October and giving Cyber Monday its own creative angle rather than repeating Friday's ad (Yotpo). With AI, a fresh variant per week costs a few credits.
