- Steps
- 4 steps
Step 1
Open Kenerate Agent
Go to the chat and sign in. Sending a message needs an account with a verified email.
Step 2
Describe the spreadsheet
Say what it tracks, the sheets and columns you want, and what should be calculated. Paste data if you have it.
Step 3
Let the agent build it
It plans the sheets, fills typed columns and rows, adds formulas and a totals row, and checks the workbook opens.
Step 4
Download and edit
The XLSX or CSV appears in the chat. Download it and open it in Excel or Google Sheets; ask for changes in the same chat.

How to ask for a spreadsheet that works first time
What the spreadsheet tool is built around, and what to put in your message.
Name the sheets you want and what each one is for: Orders, Products, Summary.
List the columns and their types: dates, currency (say which), percent, plain numbers.
Say what should be calculated. The agent writes formulas, so totals stay right when you edit a number.
Paste real data as plain text or a table copied from your sheet; it fits up to 20,000 characters.
Ask for a totals row, or a Summary sheet that sums the other sheets.
Need a CSV for an import? Say so. A CSV holds one sheet, so ask for the sheet that matters.
Example uses
How creators use AI spreadsheet generator
Illustrative examples of typical workflows, not customer reviews.

Shop owner
A small shop owner could paste last month's orders into the chat and get a workbook with a raw-orders sheet and a summary sheet that totals sales by product, with formulas she can keep using.

Operations lead
An operations lead could describe a weekly stock tracker with reorder levels and get a ready XLSX that flags low items, then share it with the team in Excel.

Freelance designer
A freelance designer could ask for a project budget sheet in euros with hours, rates and a totals row, and send clients a clean breakdown the same day.

FAQ
AI Spreadsheet Generator questions
8 questions
What is an AI spreadsheet generator?
An AI spreadsheet generator builds a spreadsheet from a plain-language request instead of a blank grid. In Kenerate Agent you describe the tracker, budget or report you need, and the chat writes an Excel workbook with up to 10 sheets, typed columns, formulas and a totals row, or a CSV, ready to download.
Link to this answerCan AI create an Excel sheet for me?
Yes. Ask Kenerate Agent for the sheet in your own words, for example a monthly budget with income, fixed costs and savings rate. It builds a real .xlsx file with formulas for every calculated cell, so the sheet keeps working when you change a number. The file appears in the chat and opens in Excel or Google Sheets.
Link to this answerCan I upload my own Excel or CSV file?
No. Chat attachments are images, video and audio only, so spreadsheet files can't be uploaded. Copy the cells from your sheet and paste them into the message instead: a message can hold up to 20,000 characters, which is enough for a few hundred typical rows. The agent then builds a new, cleaned-up workbook from that data.
Link to this answerWhich formulas can it put in the file?
Calculated cells are written as live Excel formulas, not typed results. The file uses widely supported functions: SUM, SUMIF, SUMIFS, SUMPRODUCT, AVERAGE, AVERAGEIF, MIN, MAX, COUNT, COUNTIF, COUNTIFS, ROUND, IF, IFERROR, AND, OR, INDEX, MATCH, MEDIAN, SUBTOTAL, TODAY and a few more. Newer functions such as XLOOKUP or FILTER are explained in the chat for you to paste in.
Link to this answerDoes the spreadsheet include charts?
Not as native Excel charts. The workbook has typed columns, formulas, a frozen header and filters, so a chart is two clicks away in Excel or Google Sheets: select the data and insert one. You can also anchor up to 10 images per sheet to cells, such as product photos or pictures made earlier in the chat.
Link to this answerWhat is the best AI for Excel?
It depends on where the work starts. If the workbook already exists, an assistant inside the spreadsheet app (Copilot in Excel or Gemini in Google Sheets) works on it directly. If you are starting from nothing, or want the sheet alongside documents, slides, images or video, a chat that builds a finished file, like Kenerate Agent, gets you a complete workbook in one step.
Link to this answerWhich AI models write the spreadsheet?
You pick the chat model: Claude Opus 5.5, Claude Fable 5.1, GPT-6 Astra, GPT-6 Sol, GPT-6 Luna (the default for new chats) or Gemini 3.6 Flash. None of them is locked to a plan. Larger models plan multi-sheet workbooks more carefully; the faster ones suit simple lists and trackers.
Link to this answerCan it make a CSV instead of an Excel file?
Yes. Ask for a CSV and the agent writes one, which suits imports into a CRM, a store or a database. A CSV holds a single sheet and no formatting, so for several sheets, formulas or currency formats ask for an XLSX workbook. Values that start with = or + are escaped in the CSV so they are never run as formulas.

What goes into every workbook
The spreadsheet tool follows the same rules on every file, so what you download behaves like a sheet someone built by hand.
- Typed columns: numbers stay numbers, percentages are stored as fractions (0.15 shows as 15%), dates are real dates and currency columns show ₹, $, € or £.
- Formulas for anything calculated, such as =B2*C2 or =SUM(D2:D20), so results update when you edit the inputs.
- An optional totals row, summed or averaged per column, written as formulas too.
- A frozen header row and filters on every sheet, sensible column widths, and fit-to-width page setup for printing.
- A check before you get it: the workbook is read back, and a file with a missing sheet is never handed over.
Good first requests
Requests that work well in one message:
- A monthly household budget with an income sheet, a costs sheet and a summary that shows savings rate.
- An inventory tracker with SKU, item, stock, reorder level and a column that flags what to reorder.
- A sales report from pasted orders: one sheet of raw orders and one with totals by region and month.
- A project timeline with tasks, owners, start and end dates, and days remaining.
- A pricing calculator for your own products, with cost, margin percentage and selling price columns.
Formulas the file can carry
To keep files safe to open, the workbook only carries functions from a fixed list that works in every Excel since 2007 and in Google Sheets: SUM, SUMIF, SUMIFS, SUMPRODUCT, AVERAGE, AVERAGEIF, MIN, MAX, COUNT, COUNTA, COUNTIF, COUNTIFS, ROUND, ROUNDUP, ROUNDDOWN, IF, IFERROR, AND, OR, NOT, ABS, MEDIAN, PRODUCT, INDEX, MATCH, CONCATENATE, LEN, UPPER, LOWER, TODAY, YEAR, MONTH, DAY and SUBTOTAL. A formula outside that list is written into the cell as text. For XLOOKUP, FILTER, UNIQUE and other newer functions, the agent explains the formula in the chat so you can paste it in yourself.
What it can't do yet
Be clear on the limits before you start. It can't open a spreadsheet you upload (attachments are images, video and audio), so paste the data as text. It doesn't add native Excel charts or pivot tables. And it builds a new file each time: to change a workbook, ask in the same chat and it makes an updated version.
More than a spreadsheet
The same chat makes Word documents, PDFs and PowerPoint decks, and can search the web for current figures. It can also make the images, video, music and voice-overs from Kenerate's studios. A product sheet with photos, a sales report with a matching deck, or a budget with a one-page PDF summary can all come from one conversation.
