Quick answer

Updated

To make a song with AI, describe it in one sentence — what it's about, the genre, the mood and the voice — and generate. Kenerate's Music Studio writes the lyrics, composes the melody and arrangement, and sings it as a finished track in about a minute; paste your own lyrics instead if you've written them. Four engines are built in (Ken Music 1.5, ElevenLabs Music, Mureka and MiniMax Music), songs download as MP3 with no watermark, and a new account gets 25 free credits.

Anatomy

What's inside a finished song

Pop, rock, country and most chart songs use the same building blocks: verses tell the story, the chorus repeats the big idea, and a bridge adds contrast before the last chorus.

  1. Intro · 4 barsSets the key, tempo and mood
  2. Verse 1 · 8 barsScene and story — the details
  3. Pre-chorus · 4 barsBuilds tension into the hook
  4. Chorus · 8 barsThe title line, repeated
  5. Verse 2 · 8 barsThe story moves forward
  6. Chorus · 8 barsSame words, more energy
  7. Bridge · 8 barsNew chords, a new angle
  8. Chorus · 8 barsFinal, biggest chorus
  9. Outro · 4 barsResolve or fade out

Verse–chorus–verse–chorus–bridge–chorus is the most common song form in popular music. You don't have to write it — but naming a part ('a big final chorus', 'a quiet bridge') steers the result.

Tempo by genre

Add a BPM to the sentence and the song lands where you want it.

  • Ballad60–80 BPM

Slow love songs, piano and strings

  • Hip-hop / R&B80–100 BPM
  • Pop100–130 BPM

    Most radio pop sits here

  • House / disco118–128 BPM

    Four-on-the-floor dance

  • Rock / punk110–170 BPM

Tips

Make it sound like your song

Small changes, big difference.

  • Describe one moment ('dancing in the kitchen at midnight') instead of a theme ('happiness').
  • Put a name or a phrase in quotes if it must appear in the chorus.
  • Name two or three instruments — more than that muddies the mix.
  • Generate two takes with different engines and keep the better one.
  • Have exact lyrics? Switch to Lyrics mode and paste them with [Verse]/[Chorus] tags.
  • Use Extend when a song ends too soon instead of starting over.

In depth

Make a Song, explained

What works, what to avoid, and how the pieces fit.

How to make a song — the short version

Every song answers four questions: what is it about, what does it sound like, how does it feel, and who sings it. Write those four answers in one sentence and you have a prompt. The engine turns it into lyrics, a melody, chords, an arrangement and a vocal performance in one pass.

Most popular songs follow a verse–chorus form: verses carry the story and the chorus repeats the main idea, often with a bridge for contrast near the end [1][2]. You can ask for that shape or leave it to the engine.

Writing the chorus first

Songwriters often start with the chorus — the title line people remember — and build verses that lead into it [2]. With AI you can do the same: put your chorus line in quotes in the prompt and let the engine write verses around it.

When to switch engines

Every engine hears a prompt differently:

  • Ken Music 1.5 — the default, strong vocals in many languages.
  • ElevenLabs Music — exact length, clean mix; good for videos.
  • Mureka V9.5 — writes its own lyrics well; MP3, WAV or FLAC.
  • MiniMax Music 3.0 — follows section tags closely.
