Urdu is the national language of Pakistan and one of the official languages of India [1]. It's written right to left in a Perso-Arabic script, usually in the flowing Nastaliq style. Everyday spoken Urdu is close to Hindi — together often called Hindustani [2] — but vocabulary and script differ.
