Why an 8× cap on small inputs matters less than it sounds, and how to pick the right output — with sources.

Why 8× comes with a small input limit

upscale.media caps guest inputs at 1,250 × 1,250 px for 8× [1] — because 8× of that is already 10,000 × 10,000 px, 100 megapixels. Output size grows with the square of the scale factor, so tools limit the input as the factor rises.

Work backwards from the destination
