To turn lyrics into a song with AI, paste them into Lyrics mode and describe the style. In Kenerate's Music Studio, mark sections with tags like [Verse], [Chorus] and [Bridge], add a style prompt such as *"nostalgic indie rock, jangly guitars, warm male vocals, 124 bpm"*, and the engine composes a melody and arrangement and sings your exact words in about a minute. You can use Ken Music, ElevenLabs Music, Mureka or MiniMax Music. New accounts get 25 free credits, and every song can be downloaded.

PromptNostalgic indie rock song, jangly guitars, driving drums, warm male vocals, bittersweet summer feeling, 124 bpm

Lyrics sung in this demo

Verse 1

Found your jacket in the back of my car

Smells like bonfire and a cheap guitar

We were seventeen and the town was small

Painted our names on the water tower wall

Chorus

And oh, we were the summer

Running through the sprinklers after dark

Oh, we were the summer

And I still carry your spark

Verse 2

Now the tower's gone and the road's been paved

But I kept the photo that you never saved

Chorus

And oh, we were the summer

Running through the sprinklers after dark

Oh, we were the summer

And I still carry your spark

If the Walls Could Talk

Made with ElevenLabs Music v2.5 · 90-second exact length

—

PromptHeartbreak piano ballad, soft strings, intimate female vocals, emotional, 68 bpm

Lyrics sung in this demo

Verse 1

The kettle's cold, the curtains drawn

Your coffee cup still has the lipstick on

I tell myself I'm doing fine

Then I set the table out of habit, two, not one

Chorus

If the walls could talk, they'd say your name

Every room still holds the shape of you

If the walls could talk, they'd say the same

That I'm still here, and I'm still in love with you

Bridge

So I'll leave the porch light on

Just in case you find the way back home

Chorus

If the walls could talk, they'd say your name

That I'm still here, and I'm still in love with you

Hush Now

Made with Mureka V9.5 · A poem, set to music

—

PromptGentle folk lullaby, fingerpicked acoustic guitar, soft fiddle, hushed female vocals, 70 bpm

Lyrics sung in this demo

Verse 1

The moon is a lantern the river keeps

It rocks the reeds as the whole town sleeps

The owl is a question the dark won't answer

The wind is a fiddler, the leaves are the dancers

Chorus

Hush now, the night is singing

Hush now, the stars are low

Everything the day was holding

The night will let it go

Verse 2

The hill is a shoulder the fog leans on

The lamp in the window is waiting for dawn

Chorus

Hush now, the night is singing

Hush now, the stars are low

Everything the day was holding

The night will let it go

Pop-punkYour lyrics170 BPM

Monday

Made with Ken Music 1.5 · Gang-vocal chorus

—

PromptFast fun pop-punk song, loud guitars, energetic drums, shouty gang-vocal chorus, playful, 170 bpm

Lyrics sung in this demo

Verse 1

Alarm clock screaming, I'm already late

Bus pulled off while I'm running through the gate

Boss on the phone saying where you at

Spilled my coffee on my only good hat

Chorus

Monday! Monday! You don't own me!

Monday! Monday! I'm running free!

Throw the calendar out the window

Monday, Monday, let me go!

Verse 2

Seven hundred emails and a printer jam

Lunch is a sandwich and it's mostly ham

Chorus

Monday! Monday! You don't own me!

Monday! Monday! I'm running free!

Throw the calendar out the window

Monday, Monday, let me go!

Anatomy

How to lay out your lyrics

Section tags tell the engine where the verse ends and the chorus lifts. This is the layout the demos use.

  1. [Verse 1] · 8 bars4 lines — set the scene
  2. [Chorus] · 8 bars4 lines — the title line
  3. [Verse 2] · 8 bars2–4 lines — move the story
  4. [Bridge] · 4 bars2 lines — a new angle (optional)
  5. [Chorus] · 8 barsRepeat it — word for word

Keep lines a similar length within a section, repeat the chorus exactly, and put the title in the chorus. Short songs (under 20 lines) come out the most faithful.

Prompt recipe

Lyrics that sing well

Five checks before you paste.

1
Tag every section
[Verse 1], [Chorus], [Verse 2], [Bridge].
2
Even line lengths
Similar syllable counts in each section keep the melody steady.
3
A repeated chorus
Same words each time — that's the hook.
4
Simple rhymes
End rhymes (car / guitar) help the phrasing land.
5
Style in the prompt
Genre, voice, instruments and a BPM — not in the lyrics box.

Tips

Getting your lyrics sung the way you hear them

From making the four demos above.

  • Write numbers and names the way they should be sung ('seventeen', not '17').
  • If a line is rushed, shorten it; if it drags, add a syllable.
  • Put the most important line first in the chorus.
  • No lyrics yet? Use Song mode, then edit the words it wrote and regenerate in Lyrics mode.
  • A poem works too — add [Verse] and [Chorus] and repeat the line you want as the hook.

In depth

Lyrics to Song AI, explained

What works, what to avoid, and how the pieces fit.

Lyrics mode vs Song mode

Song mode writes the words for you from a one-line idea. Lyrics mode keeps every word yours: the engine only decides the melody, arrangement and performance. Many songwriters combine them — generate a draft in Song mode, rewrite the lyrics, then regenerate in Lyrics mode.

Why section tags matter

Tags give the engine a map of the song:

  • [Verse] — lower energy, the story.
  • [Chorus] — the lift and the hook; repeated exactly.
  • [Bridge] — contrast before the last chorus.
  • [Intro] / [Outro] — optional instrumental space.

FAQ

Lyrics to Song AI questions

7 questions

Still stuck?

A real person answers — usually within a day.

01

How do I turn lyrics into a song with AI?

Paste your lyrics into Lyrics mode in the Music Studio, tag the sections ([Verse], [Chorus], [Bridge]), describe the style — genre, voice, instruments, BPM — and generate. The song takes about a minute.

02

Will the AI sing my exact words?

That's what Lyrics mode is for — the engine composes the melody and sings the lyrics you provide. Clear section tags and even line lengths make it most faithful.

03

Is there a free lyrics to song AI?

Kenerate gives new accounts 25 free credits, and every song made with them can be downloaded.

04

Can I turn a poem into a song?

Yes. Add [Verse] and [Chorus] tags and repeat the line you want as the hook — the 'Hush Now' demo is a short poem set as a folk lullaby.

05

Can I choose the voice?

Describe it in the style prompt — 'warm male vocals', 'intimate female vocals', 'gang-vocal chorus', or a duet. Mureka V9 can also sing with an AI singer made from your own voice sample.

06

How long can my lyrics be?

Full songs run around 2–4 minutes on most engines; ElevenLabs Music lets you set an exact length up to 10 minutes. Shorter lyrics are followed most closely.

07

What if I don't have lyrics?

Use Song mode — it writes lyrics from a one-line idea — or the AI lyrics generator page for help writing them.
