PixelDojo is a solid multi-model AI image and video studio, sold as a monthly plan: Lite $10, Pro $25 or Pro Max $50 a month as of 1 November 2026. Its strongest points are LoRA training, three models you can run without spending credits, a REST API and an MCP server. Its main limits are a free tier that only covers watermarked effects and credits that roll over only while you keep paying.
Updated 1 November 2026. This is a research-based review: every PixelDojo fact below was read on PixelDojo's own pages (pricing, LoRA training, llms.txt and API docs) on 1 November 2026. We did not buy a plan or run hands-on tests, and we don't give it a score. Prices and model lists change often, so check pixeldojo.ai/pricing before you pay. Disclosure: Kenerate AI publishes this blog and is compared at the end.
What is PixelDojo?
PixelDojo (also searched as "Pixel Dojo" or "PixelDojo AI") calls itself an "AI image and video generation platform with a REST API" in its llms.txt file. In practice it's an aggregator: one account and one credit balance give you access to models from Black Forest Labs, Google, OpenAI, ByteDance, Alibaba, Kling, MiniMax and others, plus editing tools, upscalers and one-click effects.
The pricing page says the paid plans include 80+ image models and 60+ video models, a 4K upscaler, consistent-character tools, a video agent called Sensei, a Canvas, and six studios (including Film, Marketing and Video). The machine-readable model list in its llms.txt counts 156 models in the API.
How much does PixelDojo cost in 2026?
All prices below are from pixeldojo.ai/pricing, read 1 November 2026.
| Plan | Price | Credits | Cost per credit | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | — | — | 3 video or photo effects a day, small watermark, no card |
| Lite | $10 / month | 160 | 6.25¢ | All the tools, starter credits |
| Pro | $25 / month | 500 | 5¢ | The plan the page says most creators pick |
| Pro Max | $50 / month | 1,100 | 4.55¢ | Lowest monthly per-credit price |
| Pro, prepaid 6 months | $135 | delivered monthly | about 4.5¢ | Part of "save up to 10%" prepaid options |
| Pro Max, prepaid 12 months | $570 | delivered monthly | about 4.32¢ | Lowest per-credit price listed |
| Credit packs (subscribers) | from $5 for 80 | 80+ | 6.25¢, down to 5.56¢ on larger packs | Don't expire while the account is in good standing |
How many credits does an image or a video use?
PixelDojo says a typical image costs 1.5 to 2.5 credits and a short video clip 10 to 36 credits. The examples it gives:
- FLUX 3 Image (2K) and Nano Banana 2.1 (2K): 1.5 credits each
- Ideogram 4.5 (medium) and GPT Image 2.5 (1024×1024, high): 2 credits each
- Seedream 5 Pro (2K): 2.5 credits
- 5-second 720p clips with audio: WAN 3.0 10 credits, Kling 4.0 23, Seedance 2.5 30
- Veo 3.1 Fast (8 seconds, 1080p, with audio): 36 credits
So on Lite (160 credits), that works out to roughly 64–106 images, or about 4–16 short clips, a month. On Pro Max it's roughly 440–730 images. These are our own sums from PixelDojo's stated numbers, not figures PixelDojo publishes.
Is PixelDojo free?
Only partly. The free tier gives 3 video or photo effects a day with a small watermark, and you don't need a card. The pricing page doesn't list a free credit allowance for running the image or video models themselves, so for normal generation and LoRA training, plan on a paid plan. (The API docs say API access runs on prepaid credits and doesn't require a subscription.)
The "unlimited" models are a paid-plan perk: FLUX 3 Klein, Qwen Image 2.1 and MiniMax H3 Turbo video run with no credits on every plan, along with the Video Effects and Photo Effects.
Do PixelDojo credits roll over or expire?
PixelDojo says "subscription credits roll over from month to month while your subscription is active." If you pause or stop, remaining credits stay on the account. Add-on credit packs "do not expire while your account is in good standing." Failed generations are refunded to your balance automatically.
What is PixelDojo's refund and cancellation policy?
You can cancel anytime from Settings, and the plan stays active until the end of the paid period. You can also pause billing from the cancel flow. Refunds apply to a first purchase only, requested within 7 days: a full refund if you used under 20% of the credits, pro-rated if you used more. Renewals and top-ups aren't refundable unless the law requires it. Commercial use is included on every plan, Lite included, and all paid plans get the same generation speed, with no priority queue.
Which models does PixelDojo run?
From PixelDojo's llms.txt (1 November 2026), the SFW image and video line-up includes:
- Image: FLUX 3 Image, FLUX 2 Pro / Max / Flex, FLUX Kontext, Nano Banana Pro and Nano Banana 2, GPT Image 2 and 2.5, Seedream 4 / 5, Qwen Image 2.0–3.0, Ideogram 4.5, Recraft V4.1 (with SVG output), Krea V2, Hunyuan Image 3, Grok Imagine and more.
- Video: Veo 3.1 (Fast, Standard, Lite), Kling 4.0 and V3, Seedance 2.5 and 2.0, WAN up to 3.0, MiniMax H3 (incl. H3 Turbo), Hailuo, PixVerse V6, Vidu Q3, Grok Imagine Video and talking-avatar models.
- Editing: a one-shot Image Editor (FLUX Kontext presets), Qwen and FLUX edit models, outpainting, relighting, camera-angle changes, and video editing with WAN, Kling and Seedance.
- Upscalers: Clarity Pro, Clarity, Crystal, Magnific, FlashVSR (up to 4K) and a video upscaler.
- Also: text-to-music, text-to-speech, 3D (Hunyuan 3D, Rodin), auto-captions and reframing.
That breadth is the main reason people pick PixelDojo: the newest headline models usually show up there, and you don't need a separate account for each provider.
How does PixelDojo LoRA training work?
LoRA training is a real differentiator. According to pixeldojo.ai/lora-training, you can train a LoRA on a face, a product or a style:
- Gather 10–20 good photos (the uploader takes up to 30). For a face or product, keep the subject the same and vary angle, lighting and background. For a style, use different subjects that share one look.
- Upload a zip (optionally with a .txt caption per image) or loose images.
- Give the run a name and a trigger word you wouldn't otherwise type.
- Pick a base model: Flux Dev, Flux 2, Flux 2 Dev, Qwen Image 2.1 or Z-Image.
- When training finishes, select the LoRA in the generation tools and prompt with your trigger word.
Training is priced per 1,000 steps: Flux Dev 32 credits, Qwen Image 2.1 35, Z-Image 45, Flux 2 Dev 110 and Flux 2 160. Default runs are 2,000 steps on Flux Dev, Qwen Image 2.1 and Z-Image (so about 64, 70 and 90 credits) and 1,000 on Flux 2. The page doesn't say how long a run takes, and it's slightly inconsistent on the Flux 2 price (one line says "from 110"). It also doesn't state outright that training needs a paid plan, but with no free credits, you will need one in practice.
Does PixelDojo have an API and MCP server?
Yes. The API lives at https://pixeldojo.ai/api/v1, uses a Bearer API key, and is asynchronous: you POST /models/{modelId}/run, then poll GET /jobs/{jobId}. Each response returns the credit cost and remaining balance. PixelDojo's API documentation says API access uses prepaid credits and doesn't require a subscription, with images billed per image and video per second. Rate limits aren't documented on that page. There's also an OpenAPI 3.1 spec and a hosted MCP server at pixeldojo.ai/mcp, so AI assistants can run its effects and tools.
PixelDojo pros and cons
Pros
- Very wide model catalogue (80+ image, 60+ video on the pricing page; 156 in the API) in one balance.
- LoRA training for faces, products and styles on five base models, with credit costs published.
- Three no-credit models on every paid plan, which is good value if you generate daily.
- Low entry price ($10) and clear per-credit pricing that falls on bigger plans.
- REST API, OpenAPI spec and MCP server; commercial use on every plan.
- Failed generations are refunded automatically; same speed on every paid tier.
Cons
- The free tier only covers 3 watermarked effects a day, not normal model generations.
- Subscription credits roll over only while you stay subscribed. If you only create now and then, you're paying monthly for idle time.
- Refunds are limited to the first purchase within 7 days; renewals and top-ups aren't refundable.
- The pricing page presents credit packs as add-ons for subscribers, so a plan is the normal way in.
- A very large catalogue can be a lot to choose from if you only need one good image.
- Some details aren't published on the pages we read: LoRA training time and API rate limits.
Who is PixelDojo best for?
- Daily creators who will actually use the no-credit FLUX 3 Klein, Qwen Image 2.1 and MiniMax H3 Turbo models every week.
- People who need their own LoRA: a brand product, a recurring face or a house style.
- Developers who want one API key for many image and video models.
- Model explorers who like trying every new release in one place.
It's a weaker fit if you create in bursts (a campaign one month, nothing the next), don't want a subscription, or want to try real model generations for free before paying.
PixelDojo vs Kenerate AI: how do they compare?
Kenerate AI (this site) is another multi-model studio, with a different payment model: one-time credit packs that never expire, with no subscription required. Here's how the two line up, as of 1 November 2026.
| PixelDojo | Kenerate AI | |
|---|---|---|
| Payment | Monthly plan $10 / $25 / $50, or prepaid 6–12 months | One-time packs from $15 for 1,300 credits, up to $1,999 for 200,000 |
| Credit expiry | Rolls over while subscribed; add-on packs don't expire while in good standing | Credits never expire, with or without a subscription |
| Free start | 3 watermarked effects a day | 25 sign-up credits for free-plan image models (Flux 2, Qwen Image) |
| No-credit models | FLUX 3 Klein, Qwen Image 2.1, MiniMax H3 Turbo | None; every generation shows its credit cost first |
| Image models | 80+ (pricing page) | 80+, incl. Nano Banana 2.1, GPT Image 2.5, Seedream 5.0 Pro, Flux 2, Recraft V4.1 |
| Video models | 60+, incl. Veo 3.1, Kling 4.0, Seedance 2.5, WAN 3.0 | Seedance 2.5 (4–30 s, up to 4K), Veo 3.1, Kling 3, Wan 3.0, Sora 2 Pro, MiniMax H3 (paid plan) |
| Custom subjects | LoRA training (Flux, Qwen, Z-Image) | No LoRA training; reference images instead (up to 16 on GPT Image 2.5, 14 on Nano Banana 2.1) |
| Developer access | REST API + MCP server | MCP server |
The two sites' credits are different units, so comparing "price per credit" across them isn't meaningful. Compare the cost of the image or clip you actually make.
Pick PixelDojo if you train LoRAs, generate every day on its no-credit models, need a REST API, or want models Kenerate doesn't run, such as Kling 4.0, Nano Banana Pro or FLUX 3 Image.
Pick Kenerate if you create in bursts and don't want a monthly bill, want to test real image models free before paying, or need long video: Seedance 2.5 renders up to 30 seconds and 4K in one clip. You can keep a face, product or style consistent by uploading reference images to models like Nano Banana 2.1, with no training step.
For a side-by-side verdict, see PixelDojo vs Kenerate AI; for reasons to switch, see our PixelDojo alternative page. Browse every image model on /model, the video line-up on AI video models, and all one-time packs on the pricing page. If you're comparing other subscription studios too, our OpenArt alternative covers the same trade-off.
How to check PixelDojo before paying
- Start on the free tier and run the 3 daily effects to see the interface.
- Read the current per-model credit costs on the pricing page and multiply by the number of images or clips you make in a typical month.
- If you only need a few weeks, try Lite ($10) first. The first purchase is refundable within 7 days (full refund under 20% usage).
- If you need a LoRA, budget about 64–90 credits for a default Flux Dev, Qwen Image 2.1 or Z-Image run.
- Set a reminder before renewal. Renewals aren't refundable, and credits roll over only while the plan is active.
Our verdict
PixelDojo is a well-stocked, fairly priced studio for people who generate often, especially if LoRA training, the API or its no-credit models matter to you. Its main drawbacks are the subscription itself and a free tier limited to watermarked effects. If you create occasionally and would rather buy credits once and keep them, a pay-as-you-go studio like Kenerate is the simpler fit.
