Tips

Moving your LTX Studio work

What carries over and what doesn't.

  • Your LTX prompts carry over: the same Lightricks models read them.

  • Export the keyframes you liked and use them as start images.

  • Use LTX 2.5's end frame to hit a storyboard panel exactly.

  • Elements don't transfer — re-upload character images as references.

  • Compare a hard shot on Seedance 2.5 or Veo 3.1 before you settle.

  • Real people need their permission.

FAQ

LTX Studio Alternative questions

What is the best LTX Studio alternative?

If you want Lightricks' LTX models without a monthly plan, Kenerate AI runs LTX 2.5, LTX 2.3 and LTX 2 next to 54 other video models, including Seedance 2.5, Veo 3.1 and Kling 3.0, on one-time credits that never expire. For a full script-to-film flow, Kenerate's Director writes the script, plans the shots and renders them. LTX Studio stays the better pick for its storyboard workspace, Elements and team collaboration.

Is LTX Studio the same as LTX-2?

No. LTX Studio is Lightricks' web app for storyboards and video, and its pricing page says the platform is not open source. LTX-2, LTX-2.3 and LTX-2.5 are Lightricks' video models, released with open weights. The studio runs those models plus partner models; other services, such as Kenerate, can run the LTX models too.

How much does LTX Studio cost?

On 20 October 2026 its pricing page listed Free ($0, 800 credits once, personal use only), Lite ($15 a month, 8,000 credits), Standard ($35 a month, 28,000 credits, commercial licence) and Pro ($125 a month, 110,000 credits), with 20% off for yearly billing, plus custom Enterprise plans. The page also showed time-limited discounts.

Link to this answer

Is LTX Studio free?

There is a free plan: 800 credits once, with the LTX-2.5 and LTX-2.3 models, and a personal use licence only — no business, marketing or paid work. On Kenerate a new account gets starter credits for images; video, including LTX, runs on a one-time credit pack with no subscription.

Can I use LTX 2.5 without LTX Studio?

Yes. Kenerate runs LTX 2.5 in the browser: text or image to video, 5–20 seconds, 720p, 1080p, 2K or 4K, in 16:9 or 9:16, with a start and an end frame. At 720p it costs 30 credits a second, so a 5-second clip is 150 credits. The weights are also published, so you can run LTX locally if you have the GPU.

Does Kenerate have a storyboard like LTX Studio?

Kenerate's Director is the closest match: you give it an idea or a script, it writes the script and a scene-by-shot plan, makes character sheets so faces stay the same, renders the shots and lets you edit the cut with music and voice before exporting an MP4. It renders on Seedance 2.0, Seedance 2.5 and Wan 3.0 rather than LTX, and needs a paid plan.

Link to this answer

What can LTX Studio do that Kenerate can't?

LTX Studio has a storyboard canvas built around LTX, Elements for characters, objects and locations, keyframe and camera controls, pitch decks, project collaborators, and audio-to-video and video-to-video on LTX. Kenerate doesn't offer LTX audio-to-video, video-to-video, LoRAs or HDR output.

Which models besides LTX can I switch to?

Kenerate's studio lists 57 video models. For multi-shot scenes try Seedance 2.5 (up to 30 s and 4K), for dialogue Veo 3.1, for expressive motion Kling 3.0, and for long, low-cost drafts Wan 3. You can run the same prompt on several and keep the best take.

In depth

LTX Studio vs Kenerate, in depth

How we compared, and what matters when you choose.

The app vs the model

Most of the searches for “LTX Studio” mix up two things. LTX Studio is Lightricks' paid web workspace: you start from a script, a concept, an image or a video, and it builds a storyboard you turn into shots on a timeline. The LTX models — LTX-2, LTX-2.3 and LTX-2.5 — are what generate the video, and Lightricks publishes their weights.

That split decides which alternative you need. If you like the storyboard canvas, Elements and team seats, LTX Studio is hard to replace. If what you like is the LTX look — fast, long shots with sound — you can run the same models elsewhere and pay per clip.
