Quick answer
How do you mix two animals with AI?
An animal hybrid generator combines two animals into one creature from a prompt — you name the animals and which parts each one gives, such as an otter body with heron legs. On Kenerate AI, Seedream 5.0 Pro (13.5 credits at 1K) made a fox-owl, a jellyfish-elephant and a cartoon panda-turtle from text, one try each. Upload two photos instead and it fuses them: our white cat kept its face, blue eyes and fluffy tail and gained a snowy owl's wings. Text hybrids don't always split the parts exactly as asked — say which parts come from which and regenerate if needed.

Four hybrids, one try each
All four are new Seedream 5.0 Pro images made for this page — three from text, one fused from two photos. Open any one to copy the prompt.
Same prompt
Two photos in, one hybrid out
We uploaded a photo of a white cat and a photo of a snowy owl and asked for the cat's face, eyes, ears and tail with the owl's wings. The cat came through recognisably the same — blue eyes, pink ears, fluffy tail — and the wings kept the owl's dark speckles. The fence post and snowy field came from the owl photo.
PromptFuse the two animals in these photos into one realistic hybrid creature: the white fluffy cat from image 1 — same face, blue eyes, pink ears and fluffy tail — with the large white speckled snowy owl wings from image 2 …

Prompt formula for animal hybrids
Base animal + borrowed parts + pattern + scene + style. What worked in our tests:
Pick a base body first and say it: “a red fox body”, “an elephant”. The base decides the pose and the size.
List the borrowed parts by name — wings, beak, shell, flippers, ear tufts, tentacles — and which animal each comes from.
If a part must be replaced, say “instead of”, then check: our elephant kept its trunk and ears and wore the jellyfish bell on top.
Name the coat or skin pattern you want to win: “panda fur on the head, green turtle shell on the back”.
Set the style in the last line: “wildlife photography, telephoto lens” for realism, “3D animated-film render” for cartoon.
For your own pet, upload its photo plus a photo of the second animal and repeat what must stay: “same face, same eyes”.

FAQ
Animal Hybrid Generator questions
8 questions
What is an animal hybrid generator?
A text-to-image tool that combines two (or more) animals into one creature. You name the animals and which parts each one gives — body, head, wings, shell, tail, pattern — and the AI draws the mix in the style you ask for. On Kenerate AI you can also upload a photo of each animal and fuse them.
Link to this answerHow do I mix two animals with AI?
Start with the base animal, then the borrowed parts and where they come from, then the scene and style: “a red fox with the round face and barred feathers of a great horned owl, fox body and bushy tail, autumn forest at dusk, wildlife photography”. Generate, check which animal won each part, and adjust the wording if needed.
Link to this answerCan I combine two animal photos into one?
Yes. In Image Studio, upload both photos as references and describe what to take from each: “the cat from image 1 — same face, blue eyes and tail — with the snowy owl wings from image 2”. Seedream 5.0 Pro takes up to 10 references. In our test the cat stayed recognisably the same and gained the owl's speckled wings.
Link to this answerCan I put my pet into a hybrid?
Yes — upload a clear photo of your pet and a photo (or a description) of the second animal, and repeat the features that must stay: face, eye colour, markings. Daylight photos where the whole animal is visible work best. To use the same hybrid in more scenes, add it as a reference in Nano Banana 2.1 (up to 14).
Link to this answerWhy didn't the AI split the parts the way I asked?
Models blend features rather than cut and paste them, so one animal often wins more than you planned. Our fox-owl came out with the owl's whole head and chest on a fox body, and our elephant kept its trunk under the jellyfish bell. Name each part and its source, put the base animal first, use “instead of” for swaps, and regenerate — a second try often lands differently.
Link to this answerCan it make realistic, fantasy and cartoon hybrids?
Yes — the style line decides it. “Wildlife photography, telephoto lens” gave us a photoreal fox-owl; “detailed digital painting, dreamy fantasy illustration” a glowing jellyfish-elephant; “soft 3D animated-film render, pastel colours” a cute panda-turtle.
Link to this answerCan I animate my animal hybrid?
Yes. Send the image to image-to-video and describe one movement — “the cat-owl spreads its wings and lifts off the fence post”. With Wan 3.0, clips run 2–30 seconds at 15 credits per second at 480p, 30 at 720p and 60 at 1080p. Video needs a paid plan.
Link to this answerIs the animal hybrid generator free?
Free to start. A new account gets 25 credits on sign-up, and Flux 2 Dev (3 credits) and Qwen Image 3.0 are on the free plan. Seedream 5.0 Pro costs 13.5 credits per image at 1K. After that, credits come from one-time packs with no subscription. Downloads carry no watermark.

Animal Hybrid Generator, explained
What works, what to avoid, and how to pick a model.
On this page
Animal hybrid prompts to copy
Swap the animals, scene and style for your own:
- Otter-heron: “Hybrid creature, otter body and webbed paws, heron neck, beak and long legs, slate-grey fur and feathers, fishing in a misty marsh, natural-history illustration.”
- Lion-peacock: “A lion with a fanned peacock tail of iridescent blue and green eyespots, golden mane, standing on a rock at sunset, photorealistic, telephoto.”
- Tiger-koi: “A tiger with the orange-and-white scales and flowing fins of a koi carp, swimming through a lotus pond, Japanese ink and watercolour painting.”
- Bunny-deer: “A small white rabbit with tiny velvet deer antlers and a dappled fawn coat, sitting in spring clover, soft morning light, wildlife photo.”
- Shark-wolf: “A grey wolf with a shark's dorsal fin and smooth blue-grey skin on its back, howling on a sea cliff in a storm, cinematic concept art.”
- Hedgehog-cactus: “A hedgehog whose spines are tiny green cactus needles with small pink flowers, in a terracotta pot on a sunny windowsill, cute 3D render.”
How the parts get mixed
A hybrid prompt is a negotiation between two animals the model knows well. The animal you name first and describe most usually sets the body, the pose and the size; the second one lends parts. Large, distinctive features — wings, shells, horns, fins — carry over reliably. Faces are where the two animals fight, and the result can lean further to one side than you asked.
If the mix lands the wrong way round, be blunter: name the base body in the first words, list each borrowed part with its source animal, and add what must not change (“keep the fox's legs and paws”). Changing one thing per try makes it easy to see which word did it.
What we got
Four Seedream 5.0 Pro images, one try each:
- Cat + snowy owl from two photos: the closest match to the brief — same white cat, blue eyes, pink ears and fluffy tail, with the owl's speckled wings and fence post.
- Fox-owl: fox ears, legs and bushy tail are there, but the owl took over the whole head and chest, not just the face we asked for.
- Jellyfish-elephant: a glowing bell and tentacles over a moonlit sea as described, but the elephant kept its trunk and ears — the bell sits on top rather than replacing them.
- Panda-turtle: panda head and fur with a beak, turtle shell and flippers, cartoon style as asked. Count the limbs: it came out with an extra flipper, and a stray pink wisp in the background.
From one hybrid to a scene, a clip or a creature sheet
Once you like the mix, the same image goes further:
- New scenes: add the hybrid as a reference in Nano Banana 2.1 and describe the new place; say which features must stay.
- Animate it: image-to-video with one movement per clip — a head turn, a wing stretch, a walk. Start with a short 480p draft on Wan 3.0.
- Front, side and back views: the creature generator page shows how to turn a creature around and lay it out on a design sheet.
- Pocket-monster style: for typed creatures with evolutions, use the fakemon generator.
