How do you make a business card with AI?

An AI business card generator designs the front and back of a card — layout, colours, your logo and the lettering — from a short description. On Kenerate AI, GPT Image 2.5 Sunburst takes your logo as a reference and letters the name, title, phone and email you put in quotes, at 7.2 credits a design at 1K (12 at 2K). Design for the printer's sizes — 3.5×2 in in the US, 85×55 mm in Europe — with bleed and a safe zone, check every digit before you order, and add a real QR code in your print tool: an AI-drawn QR pattern won't scan.

How to use the AI business card generator

Time needed
Steps
4 steps
  1. Step 1

    Open Image Studio

Go to /app/image and pick GPT Image 2.5 Sunburst at 2K. Choose 16:9 for a 3.5×2 in card or 3:2 for 85×55 mm. Sign in free for 25 starter credits.

  2. Step 2

    Attach your logo

Add your logo as a reference and say “use this logo unchanged”. No logo yet? Make one with the AI logo generator first.

  3. Step 3

Describe the card, text in quotes

Style, colours, where the logo sits, and each line of text in quotes. Make the back as a second image: logo only, or a pattern with a blank square for the QR code.

  4. Step 4

    Check, fix, print

Proof every character, fix slips with Edit Text in Image, upscale if needed, then place the image on your printer's template, add the QR code and order a proof.

Tips

Get a card you can actually print

Good-looking is easy. Spelled right, sized right and scannable is where AI business cards go wrong.

  • Put every word in quotes, exactly as it should print: “Maya Chen”, “Head of Design”, “+1 415 555 0142”, “maya@northfield.studio”.

  • Keep it to five short lines or fewer. The more small text you ask for, the likelier a letter or digit slips.

  • Read the result character by character, out loud, against your notes — phone numbers and emails above all.

  • A wrong digit? Fix just that word with Edit Text in Image instead of regenerating the whole card.

  • Leave a plain square for the QR code and add a real, tested code in your print tool.

  • Keep text and logos inside the printer's safe area and at 8 pt or larger, as MOO's guidelines ask.

FAQ

AI Business Card Generator questions

How do I make a business card with AI?

Open Kenerate's Image Studio, pick GPT Image 2.5 Sunburst at 2K and a 16:9 ratio, attach your logo, and write the brief with every line of text in quotes: “a minimal white card, this logo top-left unchanged, ‘Maya Chen’ in a bold sans-serif, ‘Head of Design’ beneath, ‘+1 415 555 0142’ and ‘maya@northfield.studio’ small at the bottom left”. Check every character, then place the image on your printer's template.

What size is a business card?

In the US and Canada a standard card is 3.5×2 inches (88.9×50.8 mm) — 1050×600 pixels at 300 DPI. In much of Europe it's 85×55 mm, about 1004×650 pixels. Some printers have their own sizes too: MOO's own card is 3.30×2.16 inches. Always check the size on the printer's product page before you design.

What are bleed and the safe zone?

Bleed is extra background past the cut line, so a slightly off cut never leaves a white edge; the safe zone is the inner box where text and logos must stay so they're never trimmed. For a 3.5×2 in card, Vistaprint asks for 3.61×2.11 in with bleed and a 3.36×1.86 in safe area; MOO asks for 3.66×2.16 in and 3.34×1.84 in. Use your printer's own template — the numbers differ slightly.

Will the AI spell my name, phone number and email correctly?

Usually, if you put each one in quotes and keep the card to a few short lines — GPT Image 2.5 Sunburst is the Kenerate model tagged for accurate text rendering. But image models can still swap a digit or a letter, so read every character before you print. If one is wrong, Edit Text in Image in Edit Studio swaps just that word (up to five per run) in the same font and layout, for 21 credits with the default model.

Can the AI add a QR code to my business card?

Not a working one. Image models draw something that looks like a QR code but doesn't scan, and Kenerate has no QR-code generator. Leave a plain square in the design, then add a real QR code in your print tool or any QR generator, and scan it with your phone before you order.

What resolution do I need for printing?

300 DPI at the final size — that's what both Vistaprint and MOO ask for. A 3.5×2 in card with bleed is 1083×633 pixels, so generate at 2K or 4K, or run Kenerate's Image Upscaler (3 credits, up to 8K) before uploading. The output is a PNG or JPG, not a vector PDF; MOO prefers vector PDF for line art, so very fine lines should be at least 0.5 pt.

Should I put the contact details in the image or add them in the print tool?

Either works. Lettering them in the image keeps the design all of a piece; adding them as live text in your printer's editor, Canva or a design app means you can change a number later without regenerating. A good middle path: let the AI design the card with your name and logo, and type the smaller contact lines in the print tool.

Is the AI business card generator free?

Free to start. A new Kenerate account gets 25 credits on sign-up — two GPT Image 2.5 Sunburst designs at 2K, or three at 1K — and Qwen Image 3.0 is a free-plan model for trying layouts. After that, credits come in one-time packs that never expire, with no subscription. Downloads carry no watermark. Printing is paid to your print shop.

AI Business Card Generator, explained

What works, what to avoid, and how to pick a model.

Business card sizes, ratios and pixels

Pick the size before you generate. Pixels are at 300 DPI; bleed and safe numbers are Vistaprint's unless stated:

  • US / Canada standard, 3.5×2 in: trim 1050×600 px, with bleed 1083×633 px, safe area 1008×558 px. Generate at 16:9 and crop a sliver off the sides.
  • Europe, 85×55 mm: about 1004×650 px. Generate at 3:2 and add the bleed from your printer's template.
  • MOO's own size, 3.30×2.16 in: bleed 3.46×2.32 in, safe area 3.15×2.00 in (MOO guidelines).
  • Square, 2.51 in (Vistaprint): 752×752 px trim. Generate at 1:1.
  • Vertical card: the same sizes turned on end — generate at 9:16 for US or 2:3 for 85×55 mm.
  • Make the front and back as two separate images at the same ratio.
