Quick answer
How do you make wedding photos with AI from your own photos?
An AI wedding photo generator turns your own photos into wedding portraits — dress, suit, venue, light and style — or a save-the-date with your names and date written in. On Kenerate AI you add a photo of the couple (or one of each partner) as references, describe the scene and say “keep both faces exactly the same”; GPT Image 2.5 Sunburst costs 11.7 credits with one photo and 16.2 with two. Use only photos of yourselves, with both partners' agreement — it's for save-the-dates, anniversaries and mood boards, not a stand-in for a photographer.

Tips
Get wedding photos that still look like you
Faces are what go wrong. This keeps them right.
Use sharp, front-lit photos where each face is large in the frame — one of each partner works better than a small group shot.
Say who is who: “the woman from image 1 on the left in an ivory gown, the man from image 2 on the right in a navy suit”.
Write “keep both faces, hair and skin tones exactly the same” — and name glasses, beards or freckles you want kept.
Pick one style and one light: “black-and-white film, soft window light” beats a list of five looks.
Put save-the-date text in quotes: “Maya & Leo”, “Save the date”, “06.12.2027”, “Lisbon” — and check every letter.
Write “gypsophila”, not “baby's breath” — the word “baby” trips Kenerate's safety filter.

FAQ
AI Wedding Photo Generator questions
9 questions
How do I make AI wedding photos from my own photos?
Open Kenerate's Image Studio, pick GPT Image 2.5 Sunburst and add a clear photo of the two of you — or one of each partner — as references. Describe the outfits, place, light and style, and add “keep both faces exactly the same”. Generate, compare the faces with your photos, and regenerate if a detail is off. It costs 11.7 credits with one photo and 16.2 with two.
Link to this answerIs the AI wedding photo generator free?
Free to start. A new Kenerate account gets 25 credits on sign-up — enough for two one-photo GPT Image 2.5 Sunburst edits. Qwen Image 3.0 is a free-plan model. After that, credits come in one-time packs that never expire, with no subscription. Downloads have no watermark.
Link to this answerCan I combine two separate photos into one wedding photo?
Yes. Add one photo of each partner as references and say who is who and where they stand: “the woman from image 1 on the left, the man from image 2 on the right, holding hands under an olive tree”. GPT Image 2.5 Sunburst takes up to 16 references; each one adds 4.5 credits. Nano Banana 2.1 takes up to 14 at a flat 21 credits.
Link to this answerCan I make a save-the-date with AI?
Yes. Describe the photo and put the text in quotes with its position: “Save the date” across the top, “Maya & Leo” in script, “06.12.2027 · Lisbon” at the bottom. GPT Image 2.5 Sunburst letters it into the picture. Check every letter and number, then print at 5×7 or 4×6, or send it digitally.
Link to this answerWhen should we send save-the-dates?
Vistaprint's guide says about 6 to 8 months before the wedding, and 9 to 12 months for a destination wedding. With a short engagement, many couples send a digital save-the-date first and printed ones later.
Link to this answerWill the AI wedding photo look like us?
Usually close, not perfect. Faces stay recognisable when each photo is sharp, front-facing and well lit; sunglasses, side profiles and small faces in group shots make it harder. Generate a few, keep the best, and fix one detail with Change Region rather than regenerating everything.
Link to this answerDoes it replace a wedding photographer?
No. AI wedding photos are good for save-the-dates, anniversary gifts, mood boards for your photographer and the shots you never got. They're generated pictures, not a record of your day — keep that in mind before calling them your wedding photos.
Link to this answerCan I make wedding photos of someone else?
Only with their agreement. Use photos of yourselves, or of a couple who asked you to. Don't use photos of celebrities, exes or strangers; Kenerate's terms of service apply to everything you generate.
Link to this answerCan I restore or upscale our real wedding photos?
Yes. Old prints can be repaired with photo restoration, and the Image Upscaler takes any photo to 2K, 4K or 8K for a large print. AI Background and Change Lighting in Edit Studio can tidy a real photo without changing your faces.

Wedding photo styles, and the words that get them
Style — prompt words — best for:
- Classic portrait — “formal wedding portrait, soft studio light, ivory backdrop, 85mm” — framed prints, parents' gifts.
- Black-and-white film — “black-and-white 35mm film, grain, soft window light, candid laugh” — timeless, forgiving of small face changes.
- Golden hour outdoors — “golden hour in an olive grove, warm backlight, wind in the veil” — save-the-dates.
- Editorial — “fashion-magazine wedding editorial, bold pose, minimalist architecture, hard light” — modern couples.
- Beach or destination — “barefoot on a white-sand beach at sunset, linen suit, light gown” — destination save-the-dates.
- Vintage 1950s — “1950s wedding photo, tea-length dress, faded Kodachrome colours” — themed parties, anniversaries.
- City hall — “courthouse steps, short dress and blazer, bouquet, overcast daylight” — elopements, small weddings.
- Watercolour illustration — “soft watercolour wedding illustration on cream paper, loose washes” — stationery, thank-you cards.
- Your culture's attire — name it exactly: “red lehenga and ivory sherwani”, “hanbok”, “kente” — say which partner wears what.
A save-the-date, step by step
The photo and the lettering come out in one image:
- Pick a ratio: 2:3 for a 4×6 postcard, 3:4 for a 5×7 card, 4:5 or 1:1 for posting.
- Describe the shot: “the couple from the photos walking hand in hand on a Lisbon street at golden hour”.
- Add the text in quotes with positions: “Save the date” top, “Maya & Leo” centre in script, “06.12.2027 · Lisbon” bottom.
- Generate, zoom in on every letter and number, and regenerate if one slipped.
- Upscale to 4K for print and keep text a quarter inch from the edges.
Two photos, two faces
Most people don't have a great photo of the two of them together. Separate photos work: add one of each partner, then say who is who and where they stand. The more clearly each face fills its photo, the better the model keeps it.
Check both faces against the originals before you share. If one drifted, regenerate or use Change Region on just that face rather than starting over — and keep the prompt the same so the rest of the picture stays.
Flowers and the safety filter
Kenerate's image tools refuse any prompt with the word “baby” or words about children. That catches “baby's breath”, a common wedding flower — call it “gypsophila” or “small white filler flowers” instead. For the same reason, leave flower-bearer and ring-bearer roles out of the prompt.
